Instructor: Anita Oas
Course Description:Course Description: This course is designed to open the minds of students to painting with oils, and push the edge of that proverbial creative envelope. They will start out by exploring the tools used in painting, and how these tools are used differently for oil painting as opposed to acrylics. Then they'll learn to mix their own colors, create under-paintings, build up washes, and finish off with glazes. They'll learn how, why and when to stretch their own canvases. They'll explore typography, and add words to paintings. Upon completion, the students will have created several compositions that have meaning to them and move their audience, all the while having lots of fun getting dirty.
