Course Description: Students will explore the complete process of producing a video from Camera, Sound, Lighting, and Editing. Techniques for picture and producing sound will be included. The workshop will give students an opportunity to explore the modern audio/video production process.
7-Week Schedule
Week 1:
This week students will be introduced to Audio and Video equipment and plan and write a production project.
Week 2:
This week students will videotape a project using Camera, Lights, and Sound.
Week 3:
This week students will embellish the project with B roll and additional footage.
Week 4:
Students will begin the editing process.
Week 5:
Students will plan for the audio post production process creating a Sound Design and preparing music and sound effects.
Week 6:
Students will create a final product with completed visual editing and sound.
Week 7:
Saturday Studio Art Show & Parents’ Reception
Students will prepare the project for presentation.
Note: There will be weekly critiques of work.
